Meet some of the Christel House children who are busy achieving their dreams.

  • Students (South Africa) played to sell-out crowds and standing ovations with their performance of District Six, a musical about the Anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa.
  • Student-produced documentary "Rakshitha's Story" (India) was selected to be screened at the 2007 Kids for Kids International Film Festival in Naples, Italy. Out of more than 500 films entered in the festival, the Christel House production was one of only 56 selected for screening.
  • In 2008, Frank S., (Venezuela) was admitted in the top 1% of students entering Simon Bolivar University, where he is studying electronic engineering. As a 9th grader, Frank became the first student in the history of the La Vega Mathematic Olympic Games to receive a perfect score.
  • Eighth grader Emily B., (U.S.A.) received the 2008 Teen Woman of Promise award during the YWCA Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon as recognition for her volunteer efforts with Indianapolis Animal Care and Control.
  • Gabriela V. (Mexico) competed for top national honors in the National Literary Expression Contest, against students from public and private schools throughout Mexico.
